I am sharing with you this video that I found interesting, funny and amazing as how a creature like a sea lion can outsmart a person.
While both fishermen were having themselves proudly photographed with their individual prize catch, a sea lion stealthily sneaked out from the boat and in one swift move snags the large freshly caught Mahi-mahi from one of them, and then disappears under the water.
Note the pelican at the background watching the sly move of the sea lion.
Other names given to this white-meat fish are dolphin fish, dorado (Spanish for its gilded skin, especially when seen in water under a bright light) and pandawan in the local dialect.
This is a deep sea fish that gets caught sometimes together with a school of tuna under a floating log or a fish aggregating device during purse seining.
Any which way it is cooked, the fish comes out delicious.
